Force Urbania | Tempo Traveller

The Force Urbania is the newer, premium version of the classic Tempo Traveller, and the most comfortable way for a group to cover the long drives of a Kashmir trip.

It seats 12 passengers plus the driver in 2x1 pushback recliners with more legroom than the old Tempo Traveller, and there is about 6 ft of standing headroom inside. The boot at the back takes a group's luggage for a week-long trip.

Every row has its own AC vents as well as rear AC, and each seat has an armrest and a USB charging point. Large panoramic windows make the most of the views, and the cabin is far quieter, with less vibration, than the old model.

A 2.6-litre, 115 hp diesel engine and a 6-speed gearbox give it the power for hill roads such as those to Gulmarg and Bangus, while the softer suspension and higher ground clearance take the rough patches in their stride. It comes with ABS, airbags, a rear parking camera and cruise control.

When you book, ask for the Urbania by name: it looks much like the older 12-seater in photographs, but on a long drive the difference in comfort is large.
