Ski Zero Point Sonamarg

Zero Point lies about 25 km beyond Sonamarg town, on the road that climbs over the Zoji La pass towards Ladakh. At around 3,500 m (11,480 ft) it is under snow for most of the year: glaciers, white peaks and a cold wind, even in July. It is the place to play in the snow. Sledge rides, snow bikes and yak rides run through the season, and the glacier views make it one of the most photographed stops of a day in Sonamarg. There is no mobile network and there are no shops, so come prepared. Carry warm jackets and sunglasses, as the sun reflecting off the snow is strong. The road is open from about May to September and closes when snow shuts Zoji La.
